What To Expect
For example, what do I wear at Dayspring? It varies widely. Some do the tie and suit thing and some do Bermudas and a shirt. Our lead pastor usually dresses business casual, but will go a bit under or over that on occasion. You choose your own wardrobe.
Our people are used to guests and you should be treated in a manner that let’s you know we are really glad you are with us. But, even as a guest, feel free to introduce yourself to others and get their names, because an increasing number of our people are also fairly new to Dayspring.
What about my (our) kids? Where do they go when we arrive? We have infant, toddler and preschool nurseries that are well staffed so that you can enjoy your worship experience worry free. Our entire nursery and DW Kids staff has undergone a security background check prior to beginning service with your children.
The toddler and preschool nurseries are to the right side of the worship center down the slightly angled hallway on the right side of the lobby. Our infant nursery is to the right of lobby in room 402.
Children ages Kindergarten through 5th grade have their own action packed worhip hour in the DW Kidzone...down the hallway to right of the lobby as you enter. Just follow the cool colors and flashing lights that lead into our KidZone!
We currently have 2 worship hours. The first one beginning at 9:15 and the second one beginning at 10:45. (Both hours contain different programming for children that are present for both worship times)
Please plan to check your children into the nurseries or the DW Kidzone prior to the beginning of the service.
The worship center is straight ahead past the lobby with entrance ways just to the left and right of the information center.
What about the worship experience? What is it like? It would be wonderful to hear your responses to that very question. We are in the process of restructuring the worship time, and likely will work on plans to add another worship time. We will keep you posted on that progress.
Our Heritage Worship service begins at 9:15 and our Contemporary Worship service begins at 10:45.
Our goal is to achieve a fairly high energy, strong input effort on our part. Various blends of contemporary and classic music are used. We try to keep our worshippers exposed to opportunities for prayer, communion, scripture, music, fellowship and teaching that is clearly tied to the Bible with life application. We inject enough variety that you should never be able to sleep walk your way through worship.
However, when it comes to the final impact of worship, we believe that it is less about “How did we do?” as presenters, and more about “How did I do?” as a worshipper.
